Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Sounds like this is about more than title, it’s actual job responsibilities. Recruiters aren’t always the best at determining this, so as part of your interview mention to the CD that you’ve worked X years and are senior now and looking to continue your senior level work, and add that the recruiter said you’d better fit at this agency as a junior. See what the CD says. They may truly need/have a budget for a junior in which case you’d be overqualified, but if they just need an extra person and are flexible on what that is you could turn this around to a senior role. Jus be frank and not coy in your interview, and have a talk about what they really need and what you really want.
If this were really about just a title though, and you agreed on everything else, I’d wait until the offer came in and it’d be part of your negotiation along with salary.
Of you have the opportunity to interview with then CD bring it up with them. If it’s in-house the recruiter may be even less familiar with creative roles and what skills make for junior/mid/senior, but the CD should have more familiarity with that. It does depend a bit on the industry and what skills specifically they need, and if we’re talking things like management experience and stuff. But still, the CD is more likely to have three answers you need so talk to them about it. After all that, you have to decide if working for your dream company is worth taking a hit in title and/or pay for the experience. In my opinion though taking a hit in title isn’t a big deal early on in your career (like first 5 years) and is easy to catch up to later.
and responsibilities, the only thing that I don't meet is the number of years experience which makes the recruiter feels this senior level is above my current experience, so she is positioning me as more junior level person and pass me through their CD for having an interview. Should I let recruiter know my initial thoughts first, or just bring it up during the interview with their CD, or I should wait until I get the official offer?
