Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Ah yes. Love when they very clearly lay out all the reasons you shouldn’t take the job for you. I had an interview for a junior role where I would be required to work across four time zones for denanding clients and was told “paid junior roles are competitive and hard to come by, so $38k (in nyc / 2017) is such a generous salary.” Told them I was junior, not stupid.
Once had an "interview" like 20 years ago, where an ACD/CW (I was interviewing for another ACD/CW spot, not to take his place or anything) spent the whole time showing me Hatch Awards (the big New England show) annuals from the past 10 years or so, where he'd dog-eared all the pages to his own (scant) credits, which he'd also highlighted in bright yellow. I was like, "Err, uh, okay...thanks for...so readily and eagerly...sharing? Should I have brought my own little bronze Hatch bowls or merit certificates from 1996, too?
I think he felt threatened because I was coming from a bigger market, and it was an ol' fashioned, childish, unnecessary d*ck measuring contest...in which only one of us was apparently participating. :)
I once got on the phone with an agency recruiter who reached out to me to have her tell me exactly why it’d be a stretch for me to get the job. She talked about how she’d used to be a writer at a big-name agency. So, she knew what good books were. She also complained about my lack of awards and that her husband (a well-awarded CD) would’ve probably passed on my book, too. I’ve developed a thick skin over the years. So, when I asked if there was anything she thought I could work on, she told me winning awards. I was just mid-level at the time.
