Bain & Company Hey! Got dinged at BCG and Mck and then hadn't heard back from Bain, but just found out I made it to final rounds. I haven't been prepping for over a week as it'd be two since my first round at Bain.
Help! Whats different or similar about Bain final rounds? I'm applying to Texas offices for an experienced AC role. I also may have to have an accelerated final round as I'm leaving the country for most of April. Bain & Company

Document everything I.e., status reports, email trail, escalating concerns etc. this includes all client and team communications. If it blows up it’ll be good to have it. It’s up to the higher ups like the principal, manager, account rep to fix the issue. Potentially people above them, but someone has to escalate it. Good luck man, but I think you’ll be fine. Smart enough to reach out..
If you are the manager, reach out to some exoerienced managers you respected when you worked for them.
If one of the juniors, discuss with the manager why you feel this way. Talk to your CC to see if this is normal.
CYA docunentation is ok, but the goal is to be an adult and try to make it great.
If you are at Consultant level, in between the juniors and managers I would suggest you step up and try to take on more responsibility. For example, you can offer to supervise some of the junior’a work or do some of the project management tasks. This can greatly help your case
Thanks for the advice everyone.
@Associate 1 - I am a Consultant but also <4 months tenure and am in the struggle like the other juniors.
@MD1 - I have already discussed my concern with the manager. Advice on how to bring it up to CC in a solution oriented way?
@Slalom - When I express my concern to manager, the help is focused on X but my concern is Y and she doesn’t know how to do Y because of the lack of content knowledge. I have reached out to other juniors to fill the gap, to moderate success but still doubt my speed to analysis and output When I express concern to the Principal, the response has usually been, “don’t worry. It’ll get done. Just talk to the manager.” Which as I’ve said, isn’t too helpful. I have been writing down the instances of when I bring up my concerns.
Start with a live call, NOT an email. Clearly note your opi ions and tge facts that infodm those opinions. Then simply talk. Your opinions, emitions abd the facts are all important, but it helps when you csan differentiate them.
You may only have 4 months tenure, but a.d a Consultant, your experince and opinions will matter.
Keep in mind the manager wants the team th o succeed. Everyone gets in over their h.g.h ead at times, helping others rscognize and solve for it will by elp everyone.
Most career counselors know, at least by reputation, most others or through one level of separation in the telated groups / practices.
