Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?

Yep, you need to pay upfront
Yeah if you submit your expense reports right away you can actually get the reimbursements before you have to pay the statements.
Believe it or not I had a colleague complain that he didn't like this because he would spend the money when he got it and then be caught off guard when he had to pay. 🤦♀️ (He apparently had cash flow issues.)

Don’t know why you would ever want to use a corporate card.
Use your own, get reimbursed, collect the points. Also makes it really easy to fudge your expenses

Lmao nah not stealing. That’s what they need to do to bring me to the client site. If they want me on site, clients gonna pay. Everybody’s happy.
What do you mean was a consultant. I’ve been a consultant at the same company for a decade. It’s a small place of about 500 people.
Also, I had to learn all this from somewhere. My coworkers on my first project taught me. Pretty company wide thing. Flights are the juiciest $$$ since they double in price over like 4 weeks.
So typical weekly travel = 400$ ticket + say 600$ hotels meals and cabs. Are you saying they expect you to pay 4000$ every month out of your savings and wait to be reimbursed? Do lower level staff have that kind of money sitting around post living expenses? Or am I missing something here. And if you are paying for the full card why use AmEx at all?
The expenses are repaid outside of the normal salary cycle (e.g if you file on Monday of any given week, you can expect the money to hit your account on Wednesday or Thursday depending on if you made any errors). But yeah, it was tough for me as a first year to float 3k cash so I was heavily incentivized to file weekly expense reports
Thanks EY1…joining in a few weeks so that is helpful information
I usually don't pay my amex until I've been reimbursed. Stay on top of submitting the expenses and shouldn't be a problem. I had a manager who had trouble with a large reimbursement and she just called amex to tell them the situation and that she wasn't going to pay the bill yet, and they were nice about it.
