Rolled it into a trad ira as a lump sum and put it in the s&p 500. Later when I retire I’ll roll it from there into a roth and do a roth ladder over a 5 year period to get it out early.

like

EY1 can you explain the Roth ladder strategy to me

i am leaving. i think i want to take the lump sum and roll it into an ira. ey is only gonna grow it 4% and i think i can beat that just putting it into a fund

like

There is also the option to roll it into your new employers 401k. If you roll into a traditional IRA, it will be difficult for you to do a clean back door Roth IRA conversion if you are currently doing those or plan to in the future

helpful

Cashed out and put it all into crypto and doubled it

like

I lef EY almost 2ys ago, i think ey pension will pay me like $3x a month. Do i have the option to roll it to ira? Being with EY< 4ys so I didn’t know it was an option

helpful

You can roll it to your new employer’s 401(k), a traditional IRA or pay the income tax and roll it into a Roth IRA.

Is it acceptable? I was thinking to join in Deloitte.
Please help me find the right decision (Deloitte USI or Cognizant)
