Firm Benefits

EY people, have you gotten your flu shot? Where did you get it? It's not covered at CVS under our insurance 😡

FYI my doctor recommends getting the flu shot between Halloween and Thanksgiving. It’s only effective for a few months, you want them to coincide with the time the spread is the worst (December to March)

Not always. Most flu shots last at least 6 months

I literally got my flue shot at a CVS pharmacy for free using our EY provided insurance during labor day weekend. If you tried to get your flu shot through the CVS minute clinic then maybe that's why it wasn't free

Ugh they always tell me it's not covered

I don’t want things to go “back to normal,” and lately I’ve been reading what feels like a lot of disingenuous arguments for reopening “for people’s mental health.” As someone who was suffering from the way things were before and is now thriving from the slowdown (both in work and personal life), I wish we could all stop pretending like we were living in some mental health utopia before the shut down.

The lack of appropriate PPE affected my health in other ways. I have a latex sensitivity and we ran out of Nitrile gloves. For awhile I had to take an antihistamine to keep from having full on hives.

Hi all, first time poster here. I’m looking to understand what other people have done as first time home buyers. I’m looking at investment properties in Toronto, and have saved about 300k. What percentage of this should I invest in the first home? This is going to be an investment property, and am wondering if a 200k down payment is too high a percentage/risky. Doing this to avoid mortgage insurance.

I am a third year associate in insurance coverage and am struggling to see how I will be able to develop a book of business when the clients are only looking to work with partners and have established rules about how to get on their panels. Any suggestions on how to set myself up to make inroads? I recognize this is still likely to be a couple years down the line.
