EY 🐠 When does EY start the Green Card process ? Any conditions ?

Hi All :) I need advise on whether it is possible to get my first time H1B stamped at a US consulate in Canada ? I am required to travel to Canada anyway for my PR stamping and I am trying to figure out if I can get my H1B stamped around the same time while I am in Canada for my PR, since it is extremely difficult to get appointments in India these days? I am currently based in US. Thanks!

I have a job offer from Meta and awaiting my H1B transfer approval notice. I have never received an H1B visa stamp before. I want to work from India (& get H1 stamped with Meta based on offer letter+approval notice) during my notice period, followed by 2 weeks of unemployment, and start my new job at Meta once I return to the US.

Need advice. Currently at $142k base. 3 years and 1 month left before I max out of H1b. Just got my PWD issued through current employer though their immediate reaction is subtly letting me know they’re not in a hurry to start recruitment. Got an offer today for $160k base. Similar role, both are good teams, etc. Do I politely decline and see my GC process through or accept and get more money? Feel like current employer will drag their feet as long as they can for retention purposes.

In my offer letter it stated a signing bonus to be paid on the first available payroll after my start date. Its been a month since my first paycheck and HR and the Payroll team are incredibly unresponsive to my inquiry on where this bonus is. What’s the next course of action? Legal? Been with my current company 5 years now. I run my own team but have a micromanaging boss who likes to create chaos for me.
