If you are thinking of starting a law practice or growing one with little or no capital, you need to get the book, “Starting & Growing a Law Practice without Breaking the Bank.
It was written based on personal experience and research. I started my practice 11 years ago in the middle of the 2008/2009 recession with about $500 and I have grown the practice significantly over the years using affordable and available resources.
I also coach solo practitioners and small firm attorneys. https://www.amazon.com/Starting-Growing-Practice-Without-Breaking/dp/1099523303

I think we need to know, at least, where you are and what you’ll be billed out as. And while you’re technically going to be running the FL division, it sounds like you’re not going to be managing other attorneys, right? Lastly, as a new attorney, you’re going to likely need supervisor - are you going to get that?
I did that at a slightly smaller firm (4 attorneys). I was paid $50k in a medium cost of living Midwest city. After I passed probation, my salary was going to go up $10k. I didn't last. It was a nightmare situation for a number of reasons. PLEASE make sure you have some sort of mentor/training in place.
Expect between 15 and 30 percent of your expected revenue generation for the firm depending on experience.
So 1500 hours at $300 an hour you would be 67k to twice that. Wide range but the more experience and value you add the the firm, the better position to negotiate
To echo other advice: If it’s a firm with that many attorneys and you are the only one doing family law, you’ll likely get the overreach from marketing and referrals from other clients.
Make sure you connect with the family bar in your area to get mentorship
The firm I work at, the attorneys are paid 35% of their billed and collected up to a certain number of hours each month. Anything beyond that number of hours, they receive 50% of billed and collected. Each attorney's hourly rate is commensurate with experience.
Need some more information. What are you making now? Are you in a major city, a suburb or rural area?
Also will you keeping a percentage of what you bill and be given a salary on top of that to manage attorneys?
