Indeed concerning. Last week, he had confidence in Comey. Now only after he asks for more resources to continue with the investigation is he incompetent. Trump has said several times since the election that he doesn't care about Hilary's emails. To fire someone at this stage for that issue, nah. Smells like he got rid of someone that could not be controlled.

He was fired after admitting that Trump is under investigation. That letter Trump wrote was laughable crap. It will be hilarious if his only claim to fame in the presidency is having the shortest one ever. I wonder if he'll say something like: "My impeachment was so great folks! Nobody gets impeached like me!"

Oh you must feel very good about yourself for calling me names. People have the right to complain about their president and not stand behind him just because he is president - being president does not excuse you for terrible behavior; in fact, the position puts you to a higher standard. Your nonchalant nature must mean you're not one of trump's admin's targeted groups. Congratulations on your status of privilege.
Somehow trying to now extrapolate the argument to "non-targeted" groups, even though nothing about what BDO1 has said either confirms or denies their status as a "targeted group".
Both sides of the media are crap. I have my own opinion about which side is less crappy, as do most people. Both sides will spin the story to fit their viewpoint, but to deliberately call them fake news? That's telling your country they should listen to you and ignore what the people who are tasked with keeping you in check are saying. Not sketchy at all.

We learn in B school and absorb that capitalism is king and a great system, but most of our complaints like this journalism comment is due to money over all good sense. I heard a saying I think makes sense - if you can't vote for someone, you can't donate or comment on them. That cuts out special interests of all stripes. Just keep the white papers but ensure think tanks are not just special interest mouth pieces. And journalism? How would they be structured to actually provide real news and not what their backers support? I see our democracy is not so for the people and more for the money/power set; or maybe that's how it's always been.
The Comey firing is concerning OP - because of the timing and how it smacks of Russian meddling coverup. The end.

This isn't a philosophy class, so shut up with your ad hominem fallacy bullshit. We can get off on tangents if we want, stop policing what people want to talk about.
In that case, I'd like to see the situation play out. Comey was not a one man task force. His firing doesn't mean that that investigation is over. If the new director were to stop the investigation, I'd be concerned. Until then, as long as the investigation remains ongoing and open, I find less concern.
^ The troubling part is that trump basically admitted to Lester holt that the reason for the firing was because of the Russia investigation. It's embarrassing for trump's team to cover for him, saying that trump had "no choice", based on rosenstein memo, only to have trump contradict his team 2 days later. Amateur hour at the Whitehouse, which probably is the most conserving thing. The Whitehouse just can't stay on message. The good thing about this is that trump is heading towards irrelevancy, his reputation is so damaged that he's not going to get his agenda through.
