My mom is going through a very bad situation with her previous employer who is not paying her her correct retirement benefits after screwing up their paperwork. She worked for a school district for about 15 years. She has a case but she is afraid it’s not high value enough to attract the attention of the attorney. School district is now ghosting her. If anyone has advice or interest, please let me know, thanks so much

I have offer from Yash technologies for SAP. How is the work culture there? Is it a good company in terms of hikes, roles, promotions and benefits. Is it better than joining Deloitte Considering salary in Yash is a little less than Deloitte. Will I get ample learning opportunities in Deloitte if I join there.I am thinking about work life balance too. Please suggest me where to join. I want to join a company where I'll have learning opportunity, but mental peace is also needed. Please guide.

Not financially savvy (learning). I want to set aside $2500 a paycheck for a house down payment in 18-36 months. Does it make more sense for me to contribute the $2.5k to my 401k monthly and withdraw in 2 years, or just set aside $2.5k into a savings account? Already maxed ESPP. My end goal is to buy a house.

Kind of late to the game so any advice is appreciated. I have been blindly putting money into my 401k (vanguard) with random fund distribution. After close look now I realized I am loosing money each month by few then gaining anything so I am trying to be little hands on now. I did some google research for top vanguard funds and selected 10 and put them each for 10% distribution. Wanted to ask if you guys have any suggestions as to what fund to avoid/what fund good to have? Tyia!

Hey Fb friends - need an advise. My current firm hasn’t stated my GC process yet and with current processing time it appears to be somewhere around 12-15 months time to get PERM approved. In addition my current firm needs leadership approval & they make me sign a reimbursement form in case I quit. On other hand, I have approved i40 from my ex-employer (Big4) who fired me last fall, I don’t know if they will hire me back. Since I am from India and the date of filing appears like going to be…cont.

Asking for my spouse. She is five months pregnant and has a amazon offer. She works for Deloitte too. Deloitte definitely has a better maternity leave but amazon is doubling her take home salary. Also agreed to work from home for two years. Thoughts? Stress wise her Deloitte practice ( strategy) is probably as stressful or more as compared to amazon role so it literally boils down to maternity benefits for us.

I’m trying to figure out what my in hand paycheck would be after all the ore tax deductions (benefits, 401K, etc) when I work in NYC and live in NJ. Is there a calculator that can help with this?

Senior, pregnant and worried about busy season because half the seniors in my practice quit in the past two months. Directors have said to seniors “brace yourself”. I am already stressed and high risk and off my ADHD meds and struggling a lot to get work done. Is it worth taking maternity leave early and “screwing over” my teams? I feel guilty. Doctor suggested to take medical leave if I am struggling. Need advice 😢

What's your organization's stance on surveys? I've just been made aware that our Executive team and our CEO are not a fan of employee surveys so that's why we don't do them. Is this...normal? Or is it dysfunctional as an HR department to not be doing surveys?
