Hi Everyone! I have been working in Salesforce for about a year now. But I am not enjoying my work as it's mainly on backend. I have been wanting to move to Web Dev. But someone suggested that like if I like frontend I should try LWC instead as I'm already into Salesforce. So I'm quite confused which way should I go. I have a law degree. I don’t think it helps me in anyway…except there are a few LA based agencies that seem to want a law degree. Which I find crazy because I’ve interviewed so many people with law degrees that don’t have SAG experience and honestly I’d rather hire someone who has that.
Those of us that bring in people with law degrees do more than just commercials. Lots of experiential, influencers, digital builds, and *^%# the ever changing privacy laws.
That being said, a well rounded and experienced BA will know their way through a contract just as well (sometimes better) than someone with a law degree and generic legal experience.
If you’re already in the field this won’t significantly help or hurt, just cost you $$. Your growth potential with this degree vs years of experience are unlikely to be vastly different at the end of the day. If you want to leave advertising you may want to look at an actual law degree or a paralegal certification, those will help you grow into more of the film and TV roles.

If you look at Client side BA departments, the requirement for many positions is to have a law degree. I would research more prior to starting a program, unless you do it for personal goals.
I know several people including myself who have an MBA, Legal or MA related to Advertising and production.
While it is great that you have an advanced degree, unless it’s legal I would reconsider.
I’m happy to chat if you would like.
