Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

Maybe, create an Excel sheet where you can coordinate with other professionals and young professionals for mentorship.
Break it down into a few different categories and from there you can connect people who can help balance out the workload.
Share the sheet in other networks and hopefully, that helps you with even your career aspects. (A project you created)

You set the balance and your bandwidth. I was asked to do so for someone in our org which I did. It was cool for the first few months but as work picked up, I scaled it back
I flat-out say I have the bandwidth to do that once a quarter, then I take a break, then I do it again. But I have to be very clear and turn people and requests down when my plate is already full. I feel like the people I do mentor deserve my full attention and not fractional crumbs.
