Hi guys,
Need help,I am joining VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.
So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.
McKinsey & Company Deloitte McKinsey & Company I am interviewing for intranet roles at both companies. could anyone share how those are set up internally (e.g., marketing / internal comms / IT - who does the content creation? back office or is it on the consultants?)? Thank you so much!
Anyone here ਪੰਜਾਬੀ?!
Move dilemma:
Currently @ Arthur D. Little Limited Dubai as SE Manager w/ base comp of 285k $ + 10-15% bonus. Vert limited fit w/ people & projects in the region (MEI) & not motivated by seniors. Not happy w/ the job but good WLB. Very likely to promote to Pr which would include a 20-30% jump in total comp but shift to more variable
Move to MBB as PL. Projects & people are supposed to be great and he could see himself in the long run. Comp is 170k $ + 60% bonus. Will take 1.5y to move to Pr

How did you change your consultant experience into a tech job for FAANG?
Which company?
Do you have an MBA? Is that needed?
Reply to ad 1- did executive mba at 36 from top 25 schools. Can’t say how much it helped.. but I do feel confident after getting the mba degree. I feel that I can talk to anyone about anything ... There’s a saying in consulting that applies to people like me.. “Mile wife inch deep”
“Mile wide inch deep”
Congratulations!! What a way to end 2020. If you were to restart the process, what would you do differently?
Thanks for sharing! Congrats again!
That’s awesome! What’s your background? How many years in consulting?
My background is a mix.. started with sales, then recruiting, then inside sales, then tech sales, then account management, then pm and then people manager. 15 yoe, 10 years in consulting industry but not all of it is as consultant.
Trickiest question in the interview process?
They asked me about the most impactful work / project I have done in my career. It was tricky because most of my work is in tech implementation so it’s not like we r curing cancer. But I talked about a project that I did which impacted the professional life of over a 1000 people... it’s not about $$ - it’s about how my project impacted people. I was a fluffy answer in my view.
Did you do anything differently in the successful interview versus the ten rejected ones?
Nothing different but I was more prepared for the is one. I spent a lot of time in preparing and did lot of practice questions.
