Financial Services Hours vs. "normal" client hours for tax in the Southwest region. I have heard Financial Services work more on average. Is this true?

Fso tax often tends to work more. Also very rare to have any layoffs.

Yes, FSO generally works longer hours

In my experience, yes. Everytime I have to work with an FSO Partner on a project I cry - it means Saturday or Sunday conference calls.

Ya expect to work much longer hours when normal tax groups are slow and to be working a considerable amount of Saturdays year round.

Hello friends, looking at a JP opportunity and hopefully going into the offer process after today’s interview. What I need help is understanding the comp structure in non front office roles ? In Goldman we have PATC ( per annum total comp ) which is nothing but base + “promised” bonus % + RSU.. how do you have total comp defined in JP ? the bonus also a % of base and almost agreed upon ? Example my bases is 200k and bonus is 25 % etc ?

I’ve got about 8-9 years in enterprise sales /mgt

Any tips/warnings/advice on potentially trying to move from Big 4 to either MBB or a T2 boutique firm? I’m anticipating reaching M1 in Big 4 within the next 12 months. My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?
