Coach
I feel like I should maybe just hold the interview and let them know the situation.
I would go through with the interview if you are serious about wanting the job. Agree if you’re the right candidate, they may be flexible, if it’s the right job, you may be flexible. You also don’t know how long it’ll take to get an offer, negotiate, clear conflicts, etc.
I’d be concerned if you push the interview they will just move on.
Keep in mind that if the firm is interviewing they have a current need. I suggest you pursue the interview and evaluate why you have a 2-3 month waiting period. If it’s reasonable, I’m sure they will understand if you are the right candidate. If it’s because you want to test the market and/or interview at other firms, you may need to rethink your timeline.
