First round / screening interview with McKinsey this week. What should I expect? Is this just a quick conversation with HR to go over resume or is there more to it?

Relevant YOE - 3.3
Overall 4.5 Years
What could be the level of difficulty asked?

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?

3 weeks of pto left and planning on quitting in two months when my year hits and I get to keep my sign on. Anyway I can just work until three weeks before my year mark and then two weeks beforehand tell my team I’m resigning. Or just ask for week of pto and then work abs then get payout?

What are some ideas and ways to develop tough skin in our industry and to not let the everyday frustrations of senior colleagues and clients bring you down and hurt your own confidence?

I just left t2 strategy for a boutique firm, and I already regret it. I thought I liked consulting but wanted a different culture, but I realize that I don’t like strategy consulting- the timelines are too stressful and I don’t want to travel anymore.
I’ve only been at this company a month- is it way too early to start applying elsewhere? I feel like I made a mistake and I don’t want to miss out on the “great reshuffling” with all these great opportunities.
