I might need to term an employee for performance (located in CA). The term meeting will be conducted remotely via Zoom with her manager as well so he can go over the term reasons and I will be covering HR stuff (term paperwork, benefits, paycheck, COBRA, etc). It will be my first time terminating someone, let alone doing this virtually. Any advice?
Anyone had a child after 35? What was your experience? We’re thinking about adding to our family but I’m scared about the possible complications and a “high risk” pregnancy. What makes 35 the starting age for high risk?

What do you all do when your mom goes ballistic? For some context, I live my parents since I’m only 22. In my entire life, my mother would go crazy randomly — as in a minor thing would trigger the life out of her. Like yest, she kept saying I was “fucking stupid” for getting her can of corn starch (that she didn’t close properly) everywhere and missed a small spot when cleaning. Today, she was mad I didn’t transfer smth from a container to a bag in the freezer. Are all your moms like this?
I was wondering what job positions I would be able to apply for once I finish my degree for BA Healthcare Administration?
Hi Guys, Can someone please update regarding benefits we get while working with Societe Generale , apart from CTC. Need to decide for joining in next 3 days.
After my first child was born, it was clear that staying home full time wasn't for me. Now, she is in preschool and my second is 1.5 and still home. My plan had always been to work until they were in preschool and then stay home since that would allow me find a better balance between myself and their needs. Changes to our childcare arrangements have me feeling I need to stay home now rather than waiting. Has anyone found themselves in a similar situation with similar doubts?
FTM here - My husband and I have an out of state wedding we need to attend when baby is 6 months old. At first I thought it would be no big deal to leave the baby with my mom for 4 days but now I’m thinking it might be too long. Has anyone else left their baby at 6 months?

Just started a new job at an agency offering 18 weeks paid family leave. If you keep hearing that it’s not possible — it is. Keep advocating!
A must read. I feel this article in my bones: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/04/parenting/covid-pandemic-mothers-primal-scream.html
I’m starting the process to find a nanny while my spouse and I wfh. I am feeling overwhelmed and like it might be way too expensive. I cannot do daycare because I am just too worried about it. I’m in nyc and need some advise/encouragement/tips. Does anyone just wing it and take care of the baby and work? How do you do it?
as a mom isn’t the industry with 2 small kids I’ve always felt like I’m not being compensated as well as some of the other people in my same position and am looking to start negotiating. Curious to know how much Media Planning Directors are making at various agencies and years of experience? Trying to start those tough negotiation talks 😬😬
For anyone who needs to hear this. I just came here to say that working Mom’s are badass!!! The amount of work you do and the speed at which you juggle and change gears is amazing. Be proud of this and don’t forget that you don’t need to be perfect all the time. That is all.
When you got back after maternity leave how were things different for you at work? And did you change your hours or schedule?
I’m dying right now. Well not literally, but I feel like I am inside. We just had new profit margins and success metrics set at work. Our jobs are not supposed to be 70% profitable instead of 50%. I’m just angry and I’m really trying not to be. As a female and a mom already it’s a huge fight to claim that space in the male world. To have more pressure put on you for money by the male men that run our company just is making my blood boil. Talk me off a ledge?
Besides “schedule flexibility,” has any agency actually provided resources to help parents? Or is quitting really the only option you have if you can’t juggle job and kids+school at home?
If you have a nanny, do you provide a holiday bonus? Curious, what your thoughts are one way or another, and how you determine the amount (if you provide a bonus).
I’m 33. I have a 4 year old and I’m trying for my second. But people my age in advertising don’t have kids. I already feel left out at my agency because of this. I feel like a teen mom in advertising!
