Fish fam, when you think of Tech companies (large or small) who make their lasting purpose a greater priority than their quarterly financial results..which companies come to mind? None lol, everyone’s in it for the money or faking it to get more money via good PR.

This is more or less true. Look for forward thinking nonprofits if mission is your primary driver.

Pretty sure Etsy stopped being a b-corp after IPO, so it's a great idea but have yet to see anyone big stick to it.

Particularly in these times, it’s easy for all of us to be a little cynical on this topic. That said, I think some tech companies are looking out over a broader horizon than others. Always a balancing act...and never perfect.

Got a really substantial (~40%) mid year raise after I brought in a basically unsolicited competing offer from one of our peers. My firm typically only adjusts salary on an annual basis in March, and I’m pretty worried I’ll see a smaller than normal annual raise this spring to “make up for” my out of sequence mid year raise. Any advice on advocating for myself to ensure that doesn’t happen?
