McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

Yes. It is. Came from EY
Then again, high performers in Big 4 get paid well too (usually after a bit of jumping around). From what I’ve heard, MBBs only keep high performers and politely ask all others to leave
I joined full time post top 10 school. Work-wise, I have a lot more variety compared to when I worked in FSO. Additionally the work is less implementation based and more strategic. My client maps on average are 2-3 levels higher. Cases are shorter. Caliber of folks is higher overall - some of the ACs I work with could run circles around EY managers
McKinsey Bain BCG
Nearly everyone on here seems to think so. The MBB pay scale is much better than Big 4
Isnt that the point of the MBA?
What are the main differences?
Yes it is - BCG is really an amazing place to work
for those that made the jump, what were doing at B4 vs what you're doing now at MBB
What b schools did y’all go to?
Interned at MBB or only did full time recruiting?
How did you pitch since you were already in consulting?
I would think it would be easier to switch eight?
Noob here- What is MBB?
B1 can you explain how you pitched yourself? Do they see past big 4 as a plus or minus? Deloitte S&O here
I just applied and got in. I had relevant experience from B4 but I don't think they look at it either way, really it's all about how you perform on the cases. Best of luck.
Not a plus or a minus in my opinion. No one would question you wanting to upgrade. There’s a decent amount of folks coming from other consulting firms going for MBB.
