Folks in HR or anyone else with knowledge : how diligently do you expect employees to enter their PTO hours into the HR system (not the time sheets/billable hours but the leave management/PTO system)? What happens if you don't enter it in the system but take only the available hours across the year? Does it impact HR in any way?

Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.

Mostly to vent, but wonder if anyone else has had to deal with this…my team consists of a partner, shareholder, 3 associates, myself and a legal assistant. We have a busy docket, 70 active litigation files. For over a year I have been dealing with inexperienced legal assistants, mostly coming from other areas of law.
