760, 3.5. Went to a top women's college with a math major, no work experience aside from being a camp counselor and having done some acting work. White Jewish lesbian, was accepted into HBS 2+2. To this day I have no idea why, but Dee Leopold is my hero forever.
760. Applied to HBS MIT Booth and Wharton and got into all of the above. Chose HBS. Biggest tip: be authentic and humble. Send me a burner email and a retainer and we can talk more 😎
760, 2.8 undergrad at crappy state school. White male. Spun app as entrepreneur (had a side business that was going well and I sold it. Main job as engineer), went to one of HSW

@PwC 1: Where do you think you messed up this year?
It was two years ago. I think I came across as very competitive and hard core in my essays, to the extent that it may sound arrogant to other people. I am not arrogant in real life - in fact quite the opposite. I think have other people read the essays so you can get a second opinion. Also I got unlucky with the Wharton wait list ------.
^EY 1 went to booth.
EY1. General perception list is HSW. Then MIT, Booth. Columbia, NYU. Northwestern somewhere. Then Yale, Cornell, Duke. At least that's how it feels.

Thanks PwC 1. Good advice! Just realizing - writing full paragraphs is going to be weird. Can't we just submit slides instead? JK! Good luck with apps this year. We might end up at the same school next year. ✌
Outside of 2+2 it is a whole other ball game at Harvard, so if you are in the regular pool be sure to put your best foot forward.
