For post-MBA associate roles at McKinsey: how does the work and lifestyle of an associate in the M&A practice compare to those of being in a generalist associate role?
Looking from some insight on exit opportunities to tech firms - Amazon, Google, smaller tech firms. I have an engineering background but have mostly worked in finance for close to 10 years. I feel I am lagging in technology to get into these firms. Any recommendations on skills to develop?

Any guidance is appreciated.

Need advice and pep talk because I’m certain I have chronic imposter syndrome :( Background on me, I have about 6 years of work experience post college but have gone through many companies because of layoffs and/or reorgs. With that, I’ve bounced a lot with different industries and have done different roles for a year max. My current role is about to be my longest (thank goodness, hitting about 2 years) but I feel like I’m not a SME in anything but I feel embarrassment for myself (Cont.)
My team is looking to fill a position. One of my acquaintances applied. Is it legal for me to ask people I know she has worked with how she is like professionally? Someone had made previously made comment about her that is preventing her from getting an interview.
Looking to exit to MBB/tier 2 consulting. Do they/you take analysts 1-1.5 years out of undergrad? Will I have to start over or will I be considered an “experienced” BA/Associate?
Who would love to be my Kraft-Hienz referral? 😃

How do you make consulting manageable in terms of WLB? I enjoy what I do at work but I also have interests outside of work. Would an exit be me only option?
I am struggling with the fact that I have 13 years of HR experience in one capacity or another, along with a bachelors degree and my PHR designation yet companies say “I’m not qualified or they ghost me when I apply for HR openings. I am experienced in all aspects of HR. How are people with little to no experience coming right out of college obtaining higher level roles than I have currently? It makes my passion for the field just go away.
Hi, all! I am currently in the process of switching firms. I’m at another big 4 in financial services. My new role has sent out a survey for market team preference between Financial Services and Products & Services (tech, media, telecommunications, consumer markets, etc). In terms of work and exit ops, which would you choose and why? Thank you!

Single parent w/ 2 young kids & a mortgage and recently decided to pursue FL vs FT work after being laid off. A month in, loving it & finding myself very busy. Is this a honeymoon phase?

I got an offer from a fintech. Slight raise to what I currently make at EY. What should I consider when making my decision to accept/reject the offer?
Any WFH parents, also watch their kids during the day? If so, my question is HOW do you make that work? I have a hard time imagining a scenario where I could handle both at the same time...

What options do I have to leave my current job? - L1-A status (so tied to this job/company) - H1-B approved, but not used yet - I-140 approved - I-485 receipt notice received, no biometrics, AP or EAD yet My job is mentally affecting me and I'm literally sick everyday. I know the right answer is the stick it out since I'm so close, but any other creative alternatives?
Just wanted to remind my fellow creatives that agencies need us more than we need them. It’s important to be respectful, but don’t be afraid to speak up, push back, ask for a raise, ask for time off or quit. The value we bring to the table is fundamental, very hard to replace and is often overlooked by us and leadership. Agencies everywhere are in overdrive mode and creatives are being overworked to keep the engine moving. Make sure you’re compensated properly for it.
Is it worth making a DIY mask or not? Physicians and other healthcare practitioners say it's not worth wearing one. The rocket scientist in the link argues it is better than nothing. https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/best-materials-make-diy-face-mask-virus/
My little girl now has an option of returning to school in-person through her spring break. My spouse is a high risk + extra careful when it comes to all things pandemic. I'm worried about my little kid's lost year & want her to go to school & interact with her friends, learn, etc. She's been home since March. Schools are being extra careful, maintaining all precautions, etc. But I can't convince my spouse to agree to this. Anyone else in a similar situation?
Anyone have experience with multiple sclerosis accommodations? This person is a good employee who’s work performance went down suddenly, and she finally disclosed her condition. Her main symptoms are memory loss and confusion. We’re a big company so I know we can accommodate most anything, but would love to hear your suggestions and experiences!
Holy crap the Precheck & Clear lIke @ IAD is long this morning. The employee said it’s a normal Monday occurrence
