I’m 4 rounds into the interview process for an Assistant Controller position in SoCal. For the next round, I’ll be meeting with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and 5 other junior accounting staff. I’ll have 30 minutes to explain a month-end close task (of my choice) to the accounting team. Also, I’ll have to analyze a random reconciliation and explain improvements that can be made. I’m just a 2nd year manager, so I’m getting so nervous, and any insight or tips would be appreciated!
Waited two months to hear back from EY for a role that said online and from the recruiter they wanted to progress me to the next steps in the hiring process. Even did the hire Vue video and phone screen. Woke up today to find out they are going a different direction. Thanks for dragging me on. That’s cold

Would you go work for a private company that offers a lot of growth opportunities, high salary and 40-45 hour work weeks, but doesn’t allow WFH and is pretty strict on the 8-5?
If you’re a campus hire, what made you choose deloitte over other firms/b4 firms assuming you had other offers? You don’t get a bonus until you hit senior and tiny raises. I don’t think many other firms/big 4 do that right?
Is there a reliable/accessible salary research resource out there? Trying to figure out associate salaries at local big law firms (specifically in Kansas City: Polsinelli, Bryan Cave, Shook Harry Bacon, Lathrop GPM, Dentons, Stinson).

Hi Guys, While I joined Mindtree before 3 months, recruiter said I will be getting joining bonus after 3 months of joining. But it was not mentioned in the offer letter, as well as I was not aware that joining bonus will be mentioned in offer letter as this is my 1st jump in IT field. Now the recruiter left organization and my HR is telling they cannot accommodate request as it is not mentioned in offer letter. How should I escalate this to the recruiter's manager to get a positive reply?
Need refferal for Azure+java position..
Just got a lateral hire offer for a Sr Associate role with BCG. Contract states that I can go for Consultant promo in 12 months. I'm interpreting this as, if I don't make the promo threshold in 12 months, I'd be counseled out. Is this a reasonable assumption? Or would I get a few more months of time to work on feedback? I'm nervous - should I be? :(
Currently in ECM at an RBC/UBS/WF and have an offer to join a T2 Consulting firm's strongest group as an Associate (think LEK/OW/ATK). Non-target undergrad and no MBA (although may ultimately want to get one), and this would be a ~20% base salary decrease. Looking for more varied strategic/operational experience and to develop a broader skillset as ECM has gotten repetitive and the exit opportunities are limited. No wife/kids/mortgage etc. so don’t mind travel. Thoughts?
Is moving from consulting to capital markets common? Will that limit my future exit opps?

What are some complexes you would recommend for a spacious 1br 1ba (or 2br 1ba) under $2K near the battery. I’m a young professional thats permanently remote and needs space to set up a nice home office.

Are there any attorney roles that are collaborative? I’m a transactional associate and there are aspects of my job that I really enjoy, but I can’t stand how solitary it is. (I don’t consider client conference calls collaborative haha) Long-term, I need to be in a role that requires more team work/collaboration/social interaction...but the longer I work as an attorney the more I feel like I’ll need to leave legal practice to get that. I’m wondering if there’s a legal option I haven’t considered
Wharton Round 1 applicants, did you go through the Team Based Discussion on Zoom? I noticed the email just says “Interviews will be virtual with a second-year Wharton MBA Admissions Fellows”.
“If you’re not sweating by first hour, you’re not teaching”, “Don’t let me walk in the room and see you a$$ sitting down”, “ You should leave everyday exhausted” just a few quotes from our new academic supervisor. I find these extremely offensive, but since this is a supervisor any advice on how to handle this situation?
QUESTION -When you have a great passion project / bottom drawer idea that you keep bringing out and trying to bring back to life - ie you’ve had it in a couple of agencies - who owns it? It wasn’t for a brief, and it was worked on above and beyond the general hours of work. And it’s never been bought.

If I am leaving to go to a big 4, should I tell my company where I am going or should I just say im leaving for another opportunity when giving my notice?
I’ve been faking happiness for 5+ years and don’t know how to truly be happy. Have an awesome wife, 🐶, 🏡, in a great group at EYP, work is fulfilling, mid 30’s, family income $350k+, both of us have MBA’s - there shouldn’t be anything wrong. I’m a former intel case officer and interrogator that spent a lot of time working with Tier 1&2 operators overseas in high tempo ops and was very well decorated during my ~13Y of service. I do struggle with PTSD at times, but that’s expected w/ former life.
