McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

I’d say for Bain it’s about 70%. 20% earn more, then 10% earn less but it’s a very minor amount less - that 10% is usually on their way to being let go (3mo performance watch)
What roles are these target bonuses for?
Agreed with AP1. 90%ish earn 100% of bonus target or more. 8% get 90% of bonus. 2% get 75% (I believe), but those folks are actively in performance watch at a rating level it’s hard to recover from
McKinsey bonus in the letter is the maximum, not the target, at least when I was a student. 10% or less of people get it. The target bonus is usually far less.
That's not the target bonus. That's max bonus and profit share with an optimal utilization year.
I don't even think Managers are at 60k target bonus. For context, I'm a C2, and my target bonus is slightly less than 40k.
As others have said, there's a variable distribution of bonuses based on each class's performance. Some years I've heard of 25% of an office's class getting max bonus. Some years maybe it's as low as 5%. Unsure of the actual numbers. Safe to say that the vast majority get the target, small group get max, and another small group get lower
