Im in industry now but formerly PA. IT audit is having a moment because those skills are transferable to many risk spaces. My *insert large bank* employer basically said you’d have to do something illegal to get terminated, because we are so desperately understaffed.
My peers in other PA groups are also all struggling to hire, and every peer I know has 1-2 openings for IT in their team.
I feel pretty secure….
Depends on how lean your company runs. Ours is not a big concern because our team is very small for the company size (1 auditor per billion in revenue)
We've grown a ton the last few years so that's the main reason. I imagine we'll grow our team eventually but right now that's what we're working with.
I’ve never seen terminations in IT audit - it’s typically non discretionary expenditure for our clients, has a very high turnover rate and so it’s always in demand.
