For the past 12 years, I've worked in engineering proper (mechanical system engineer & product design engineer). FI recently accepted a position as a mechanical project manager, which I've never done before... at least not on the scale I'll be doing for my new position. I'll be managing large capital projects.

Any insights, helpful tips, or other advice? This will be a new side of engineering that I've not done on this scale before. I'm a little underconfident.

I received an offer from IBM Bangalore. However I saw openings at my preferred location Kochi only after the interviews. I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.
