I spend more than 1.3k a month on my credit card didn't change any spending habits
Lol a friend "accidentally" left his corporate card one week at home and charged a week of expenses also ..
By spending 4K in 3 months.
There isn't a hack to everything, kid.
Easily spend that much for daily expenses. You just have incredible spending habits to be asking this question - kudos!
I used plastiq
Buy a bunch of Amazon gift cards, you'll spend em eventually
If you have student loans see if they accept credit cards, or try and use Plastiq for the payments. I made a lot of purchases I knew I would use/need in the coming months/year, Christmas shopping, updating wardrobe, new suitcase. I also did little things like pick up tabs at restaurants with friends and get paid back. Once I did everything I could and was reaching the close date, I made a payment to a close friend via Venmo to get me over and they sent it back to me after a month. Recognize that the 3% fee for CCs on Venmo/PayPal, even if you do the total $4,000 amount (not recommended - see clawback examples), is nothing compared to the $1,500 travel benefit or $1,000 cash back you'll be receiving.
P2 has good advice, wait until the end of the 3 month period and charge through venmo/square/plastiq and take the 2.5-3% hit on whatever is left. That said, it's not hard to hit minimum spend. Bank accounts can frequently be funded with a CC when opened (limits exist and options are restricted to accounts that will not code as a cash advance), which is an easy way to rack up towards the $4k -- these also often have sign up bonuses, though they will be taxable.
Use PayPal. Either create two accounts or pay someone you trust. CC fee is like 2.9%
Lol @K... Creative.
Google manufactured spending techniques. Also look up giftcards.com and walmart money orders.
PayPal and Square will shut you down and hold your money for months if you try to manufacture spend thru them. Plastiq and Venmo are known to shutdown accounts if you're paying yourself.
Is there anyone you can trust with your CC? I gave authorized user to my brother and hit 4K easily
Totally worth the fee. I get all the points
I bought a car & renew my auto/home insurance. I was also traveling at the same time. Hit $40k in 3days 😅
If you aren't going to hit it buy some gift cards for things that you will eventually buy anyway. I will probably get a $500-$1000 gift card to speed things up at the grocery store I go to.
I just got approved too, was planning to shift my auto insurance, car payment, student loans, rent and basically all others at least for a month or two. Don't really think it will be a problem if you basically start using it for all your expenses. I went on a credit moratorium shortly after college so completely understand. I don't love the idea but the benefits make the shift worth it....I think. :/
If you were planning a big vacation (like a trip to Europe), just pre-pay. $2k+ right there. Use your CSR for ubers and manually expense- $1000+ over 3 months. Actually love your life and spend $350 per month on something fun- $1000+. There is your spending
OP just use plastiq. I paid my mortgage through that for 1 month and it did the trick. Worth the fee for one month given the sign up bonus.
