If you don’t use the PTO time, you get it paid out when you leave
Yes
If you want to take PTO take it before you put in notice. If you want to take PTO during your two weeks your team/HR may tell you it’s not approved or that it will extend your notice period. Obviously you’re already leaving so you don’t have to listen, but could cause unnecessary drama.
I haven’t put in a notice yet because still deciding on offers. But looking to resign after thanksgiving. So I’m not sure if I should still take extended days off in the week of thanksgiving
Your accrued hours typically get paid out. But try to take some time off to chill & then resign. Life’s important as is rest time.
They may decline your PTO request as you are in a notice period. Better to take before
nah save all pto as it cashes out but be flakey as you can while charging to projects lol
Disagree. No one is going to care if an associate flakes during the week of thanksgiving during his notice period
I haven’t left, but what purpose does your question serve? Do you want to take PTO now that you’ve put in your 2 weeks notice? If so, go ahead. Your project will survive without you.
Yeah I’m trying to leave after 11/15 also because I don’t want them to have transition issue during the busy ddl
Also some background info: I’m not leaving for any competitor.
Yeah my issue is just I originally planned to take days off during the thanksgiving week
But now I might need to give notice before thanksgiving
So I’m not sure if that’s ok if I’m leaving right after thanksgiving
How does it matter ? You can cash out all vacation hours. You better work until notice period and help teams to continue without you, bring new people upto speed etc. So that you can end on a high note. If you want time off before next huddle, then delay your start date. Em cash all left our vacation hours from PwC.
I’m probably gonna leave after thanksgiving so I’m not sure if I still should take extended days off during thanksgiving week
