To your second point - I’ve seen a lot of posts on here saying PwC is pretty consistent about getting that signing bonus back if you leave voluntarily. This situation has been bad for a while now and I’d have left a month ago if I wasn’t locked into that repayment agreement.

Thank you. If someone were doing what I was doing on my team, I’d coach them. I’m not a lost cause. I can do this. I can make them a lot of money if they’d just give me the time and help me adjust to this type of project. I’m sorry they don’t agree.
Says you have to pay back the signing bonus “If your employment is terminated by the Firm for reasons other than professional, legal, ethical or Firm policy violations by you.”
I’m guessing the reasons I outlined above are applicable here?
Are u on a performance plan? Or what is your probationary or payback period for the signing bonus? At d I believe it’s 2 years
D1 is totally right. Watch for any evidence of discrimination, document and share with HR. If you are laid off, use the documented discrimination to get a settlement for at least 6 months severance and arrange to not pay your bonus back. Contact the attorney right away. Tape the conversation in your phone if you have to. They will likely lay you off. Screw them.
Only way they can claw back a sign on bonus is if they fire you for cause
Cause is like stealing or fraud being an shithead is not cause, the cost of them trying to fight that is not worth the 10k or whatever a sign on bonus is, they will chalk it up to a lesson learned
