Hello Sharks, I recently gave interview of Tiger Analytics and after all successful technical discussion, they were offering me Senior analytics - data Science role for 15.5 fixed + 2L jb, considering my current yoe 4.3 and in data science relevant is not much(consider it 1.5+) but my cctc is 14(13fixed+1 variable), I denied to accept this offer. Should I reconsider that?

A few months ago, the recruiting agency was really pushing me to interview with Apollo. I told them that with my current 9-to-5 schedule, I didn’t see much value in moving to a role that would require me to work from 8:30 to 5:30 pm. The pay increase wasn’t substantial enough to make the longer hours worthwhile.
Ultimately, I received an offer from a major tech company to support a founder, and the compensation was almost double what Apollo was offering.
I’d recommend continuing your search until you find a job that feels right and doesn’t leave you questioning whether it’s the right move. Of course, that’s assuming you’re currently employed and not in a situation where you urgently need a job.
I wouldn’t trust words. You can wait for the job offer and look at the final number stated there, and then make your decision. If the final amount is $140K and not $200K, then I wouldn’t believe that you’ll actually be making $200K
I would not want to work overtime just to make a decent living. They take almost 40% in taxes right off the top. My time away from work is more important than that.
I hear you. I’m so conflicted but I can’t even afford to take a damn vacation. I live to work and go home . Im sure if I was a dual income household and not a single parent it would be easier but 😩 I don’t know I have a choice
