Searching a new job
Hello folks,
I am in free pool post lateral joining in Cognizant . Do anyone have any idea how much time i will get to find a project ? Designation - SA
Another challenge - i had joined as base location kolkata but in the ADP video they are mentioning that i cannot reject any opportunities for location mismatch 🙄 . It seems very unethical behaviour & policy when you hiring any professional at specific location . Any Advice & suggestions will help ne a lot 🙏 Cognizant Wipro Tata Consultancy

What should we suggest?
Bro depends upon your domain. If you are in tech, which I'm assuming you are then Kolkata won't be able to offer you good growth . Bengalore wins head on. And India mein kahi bhi raho ek flight hi toh Leni hai
I m into tech consulting. Thanks for your inputs.
Btw I'm also from Bihar and i prefer bangalore or pune above others
Bro I'm also from Bihar, Bangalore is best for the tech industry, and I know Kolkata city very much because i have been to kolkata city many times (10-15) kyu ki main bada Dhanbad mein hi hua hoon jo bagal mein hi hai aur bhi mere bahut dost log Kolkata mein hai.... and currently I'm in Bangalore, so in my point of view for growth, life, and education in everything Bangalore is the best option....aur jaisa ki ek comment mein likha bhi tha sirf ek flight ki hi to baat hai
Me too from Bihar and base location Bangalore.
You would get multi cultural background people to work with in Bangalore, unlike Kolkata which may be limited to east and north east region.
Besides, more number of opportunities in Bangalore in IT.
I'm from Bihar and I prefer Hyderabad as my choice. I have avoided Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune after being there because people are highly classists and there happens to be a stark increase in regional racism. And about staying close to Bihar as many said it's a matter of taking a flight nowadays.
I'd suggest Kolkata. It's quite close to Bihar and culturally close too. Also much more affordable than Bangalore.
It's true that opportunities in tech are lesser compared to Bangalore but I don't think that matters. No one actually moves to a city because it has more opportunities and then looks for a job. If you already have an option to move to Kolkata, go for it.
I am from Kolkata but I won’t ever suggest anyone who is aspirational to move here…. Don’t get me wrong I love the city… but I have problem with people in the city, anyone who has stayed behind in Kolkata has either a personal problem or is not good enough, that’s it.
The quality of work and especially people in mumbai and Kolkata is like night and day, attended a networking event in Kolkata and I was glad I don’t have colleagues from Kolkata as my teammate
i have mentioned in the first line. If you have any inputs regarding location preference between kolkata and bangalore.
