Sometimes they randomly take it from you. Happened to me this week
Op global entry card doesn't work for pre check at the actual check point. They give you a trusted travel ID which you enter on your booking to get pre check. Fucking amateur. #PwC
Probably your fault. In 4 years of travel not a single time has ore check not shown for me
You can usually get a new boarding pass with pre check issued at the counter if you give them the number on your card
It's my fault that TSA didn't accept global entry card as proof of being pre-check eligible? Gtfo
They don't care. I tried doing the card also. Pre-check is not guaranteed every time as indicated in the fine print.
OP - quit being an ass. Maybe you should read up on Pre Checks terms of use. You can't use your global entry card to gain access, has to be on your boarding pass. Even so, they can randomly choose to take it away for a particular flight to force you through stricter security checks. It's a safeguard to ensure people don't abuse the system
Random full checks can happen with Pre check, chill
check if the spellings of your names and dob match on the global entry and your delta /united /southwest/aa etc...account. I had this issue till about 3 years ago , after which not once have i had this issue. even with no status flights
Pre check
One more Yankee leaving Raleigh. Thank god
Delta counters are usually nice enough to print a new boarding pass if you show them your GE card. But put your TT number in your reservation. It's not their fault, it's yours.
It also *must* be on the BP for TSA to scan. Does RDU still have the shared kiosk self-checkin machines that worked with almost any airline? Been a while since I was down there but those used to be a way to not get Pre. Use the mobile apps to check in whenever possible. If you don't get it, see a ticket agent to reprint, which seems to recheck for Pre and usually you'll get it if you were initially randomly denied.
I'm pretty sure if info is correct you are 100% guaranteed to get TSA with global entry. Every. Single. Time. I have never not had it in the past 4 years. Now, when you go through you may get a random alarm that means you have to do a full screening, but you don't know this until you walk through metal detectir
@Senior Manager 1 it's not supposed to be 100% but my experience flying 80-120 segments per year is that I don't get it only 1-3 times per year, and I can always fix that by having an agent manually reprint the boarding pass at a ticket counter.
Meh, I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be 100%. I would flip my shit if it wasn't on a united or delta ticket (never happened). Sometimes I don't get it on Southwest but when I looked into it our travel agency has to manually enter something for SW -- info doesn't always carry over automatically so doesn't always match. Are you sure this isn't the cause of your issue PwC3? I fly about 400K PQMs per year, have been doing consulting for 5 years, and never not had it on United or Delta
