How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

Which banks? What will be your job responsibilities? In general, there is more upside if you can build a nice book as a FA, but it’s much more difficult/stressful in the beginning. Senior bankers at some of the premier private banks can make over 7 figures, even more if you can climb the Corp ladder, but you have to consistently perform well against your peers. As a FA, once you get to a certain level, you can relax/coast if you like, there is an option.
Yep, I’d say your analysis there is spot on.

I served in a bank FA role for 8yrs before I came to Edward Jones. It was a nice stepping stone but I was capping out. I left to Jones because I wanted to build and grow. My income is triple what it was when I left 6.5 yrs ago. So it just depends on what fits you the best. Banker for the strong salary or build something over the long term that can be extremely rewarding.
