As someone that also left PwC because of the people at my older department, ehat I said when they asked me that was that I was starting to feel that I was in a comfort zone with the way of working of the firm and I wanted change even though I loved the subject. Also said PwC sometimes felt really inflexible regarding some procedures and I wanted to experience a somewhat more dynamic workplace, as KPMG seemed to have.
Got the job and still never say anything remotely bad about PwC or previous coworkers.
Nice!!! Looking to do the same move!
The real reason is that I don’t like the people within my current group but I like the topics. But I don’t think I can bitch about my current employer. So I’m trying to think something to differentiate those two similar groups but in different firms
Why do you want to leave PwC? An honest answer is always a good answer. I lateraled into a similar position because I wanted more responsibility and my group was pretty top heavy, whereas the group I’m at now is growing so rapidly I will always have a challenge. The clients are a lot messier, and I can be a part of building processes/improving analytics/learning project management more intimately.
Are you just looking for a salary bump? Do you want a better culture fit? Switching firms is a big decision, and make sure you actually want it
