Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure

I cleared 1 technical round. Then got call from MasterCard HR he said 38 LPA is max budget for specialist( Level 7) at MasterCard,if you are ok then will go ahead? Is it true ? I am expecting 45 LPA fixed from MasterCard. I requested to consider for lead role if budget is issue. As my experience is 12 years but hr told 13+ experience required for lead. Is it true ? How much experience required for L6 (lead / individual contributor role ) ? How much is salary range for L6 role at Mastercard ?
Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Equity is probably worth much less than whatever is being claimed.
Offering a 26 YO a director of strategy role must mean the startup is quite small or low revenue.
There you go, I think you answered your own question
For only 3.5 years, great offer.
That’s what I’m thinking, and also think of the great experience you’ll get at a startup
Equity at current valuation means nothing if it is only 2 years old assuming this is likely Series A or B round. Monetary value of that is likely significantly less than that.
If there are legit VC backers, you should not have that title or alternatively the company might inflate all titles. I would go in with the assumption of little to no equity value here.
That said, equity can be very valuable even though in this case it looks super dicey, my SO is an early employee at a fintech and the equity value post IPO is about $4.5m.
Series C but yes, totally agree. Equity isn’t worth anything until one day it is. That’s awesome for your SO.. it’s honestly what I’m hoping for in the next 4-6 years.
One thing to keep in mind, start ups WLB is not that great, you will find yourself working crazy hours at time. It is rewarding and can help your career even if you leave after a couple of years.
Totally. I come from CDD and growth strategy background, so I’m used to 9p being an early night. Any improvement above that threshold is a net win in my book
Excellent job! I would assume for budgeting purposes that the equity is not worth anything. That being said I would take the 150k base in Austin versus the awful WLB. May I ask your experience the last 3.5 years?
Thanks A&M! Even better, it’s not in the more expensive city of Austin 🙏🏽
I’ve been doing CDDs and growth strategy. Hours have been rough so even 55hr weeks will come as better WLB
Also for texas, 270k equity is incredible.
I’m very happy with the package, even though I took a slight haircut on base. Improved WLB should justify the cut (not taking into account equity piece)
How was the interview process ?
Also curious
This is a great offer for you. Congrats!
Thanks G1!
