got an offer from D and S&. D's base is 165K, 15K in bonus and they will reimburse tuition for two years of school. S& is 190K and 30k bonus. I feel like the two are kind of the same in terms of prestige? I would go for D's S&A practice and the "generalist" practice at S&. Any thoughts? Idk how long I want to stay in consulting and I am location agnostic.

If I’m right on the cusp of hitting the contribution reductions for a Roth IRA for 2021 (will potentially have a greater than $125k AGI depending on bonus amount, but likely won’t exceed $130k), what should I do? I can fully find the $6k right now to a Roth, fund like $5k and then wait until June when I find out my bonus amount to decide what to do with the rest, or should I just do an IRA->Roth conversion just to be safe?

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.
