Good luck OP. take some time to yourself and recoup. Remember, you've been knocked down before, and maybe not this hard, but you will be able to pick yourself back up, dust yourself off, and 5 years from now you'll likely barely recall this wrinkle.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Means a lot. D1, luckily I don't have a spouse/kids/home/etc and have a great family and support system so I don't have to worry about finances much. I think it's all a blessing in disguise.
Don't really want to give away specifics but it's not necessarily the reorg. More lack of projects. I wouldn't worry too much if you're being utilized.
Really sorry to hear that, OP.
If I got laid off the last thing I'd do is take time for myself. I've got a mortgage and 2 kids. I'm so, so sorry Op
Sorry to hear that OP. Not sure of the situation, but these are really tough moments on both sides of the table. I wish you well and that you go on to bigger and better things.
Sorry OP-bigger and better things out there for you. You will find something great.
I'm sorry for prying, but any details you are willing to share? How'd it go down? Reasons?
Our new reorg has me terrified of CRT.
OP- good luck. There will be much better things coming your way!
Thanks for the details OP, and sorry again for the bad news. Best of luck with next steps.
Wow two weeks seems little, do you know how they determine the weeks? Number of years at firm?
😕
Reorg?
Pwc shuffled the deck a little on how we are mapped at certain areas of the firm. Not a dramatic change, but enough to create some uncertainty.
So sorry to hear. Which group?
You have a great attitude considering. Wish you well in your future job prospects!!
Best of luck!
P8: 2 weeks + unused vacation. Don't have to pay back signing bonus
What was the reason OP?
Was it bad utilization and you're staffed on something now, or were you unstaffed when they laid you off? Also, did you set up your CRT or did the partner?
