How do you feel about getting homework for jobs?

We're altering our interview process to eliminate a homework assignment we give to candidates. It's about 2 hours of varying difficulty questions.

The VP wants to replace it with a 1 hour pair programming exercise because he thinks experienced candidates won't bother with homework. A lot of my experienced colleagues would be fine with the homework as long as it was within reason.

What's the consensus? Homework or nah?

I’m currently working as a fraud specialist for a big delivery gig company. I am a “contractor”
For 6 months & was informed back in the interview they can extend it to up to 2 years if not hired on as a full time employee in that time frame. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to try to become a full time employee by the end of contract? I’m 3 months in and I’d say I’m doing pretty well there. I like what I do, my boss, my team. It’s a dream and I wanna be able to stay long haul.

My company are still facing delays with doors, particularly a specific door that there's none in UK at moment. Anyway 1 customer has been calling in for updates regularly (loveley lady and very understanding, door is for her sons bedroom) called my sales guy today, advised she might need to look at other doors as her sons turned 13 today and will be wanting to have a ham shank in his room and it's something she'd rather not witness 😀. Consulting is like playing modern warfare (or halo) and looking at the wrong screen. You think your killing it, but you're just in the corner shooting yourself in the foot

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."
