Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. ROLE : senior consultant.
Dept : r&d
Joining : 25- Feb-22
PEOPLE TECH :
19 LPA , 18.50 Fixed ,50k variable pay + 1L joining bonus,
Role : senior software developer
Joining :1-Mar-22.
Location : on-site , process will be start once join here , they will send me around Aug-22
Please suggest me, which one i need to be choose for career wise and WLB wise.

You pay if it’s voluntary separation
I’m sure you “get” to pay back your sign on bonus anytime you want to. Not sure why any firm would ever have an issue with that.

How is severance an example for your question? Are you saying if you get fired do you get severance or are you asking if you get fired do you need to pay back the sign-on?
If you are let go, you don't pay back a bonus. You pay it if you leave on your own will
