Guys, tell me the top 2 stocks to buys for long term (5 years) according to you. Will be investing in stocks for the first time, as it is impossible to resist these low stock prices

Stock prices aren’t that low. They were just too inflated. You may want to invest in index funds if you’re new to this. Stocks simply don’t offer the same diversification. However, if you absolutely must —amazon and google will continue to do well for the foreseeable future

A bit of advice... most people shouldn’t buy individual stocks unless they know how to evaluate a company based on a combination of fundamental and/or technical factors. 99% should stick with low cost index funds (ETFs, passively managed mutual funds)

New Jersey partnership question.

Partnerships need to use market sourcing for purposes of calculating NR withholding tax (though NJ doesn't even call this withholding anymore).

However, for purposes of calculating the NJ distributive share of income, you apply Gross Income Tax (personal income tax) rules, which is 3 factor and includes COP.

If I end up with 0% apportionment under GIT and 10% apportionment under CBT (withholding tax), the partnership pays tax upfront but NRs get 100% refund?

If you follow the cryptocurrency market, or even have been just taking an interest lately, with the Bitcoin "halvening," you should check out Pi.

If you haven't heard of Pi, it's a new cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), developed by a bunch of Stanford PhDs. What makes it really interesting is that you can still mine this coin, using just the processing power of your phone, unlike just about every other coin out there. (Contd)

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

Would 401k custodians have to reverse the transactions and somehow factor in gains earned in users' Roth accounts since the conversion? Could there be penalties?

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.
