If I have a traditional account (401k and/or IRA) and I am at retirement age and I have no other source of income to my name....
Will pay taxes on the amount that I Withdraw that year following the Tax bracket rules at the time of withdrawal correct?

Conversely,
If I have a roth account (401k and/or IRA) and I am at retirement age and I have no other source of income to my name....
Could I hypothetically withdraw the entire account and not pay taxes in a single year?
Ex. withdraw 10M

Yes and yes

Also traditional 401k and IRA have required minimum distributions once you reach age 72. So you might have to withdraw more than you want.

like

Yes but best bet is to leave some in Roth to keep enjoying tax free gains

Not to mention a mix of traditional and Roth is ideal so you can take advantage of standard/itemized deductions and pay no tax on traditional balances (no tax when contributed and no tax when withdrawn due to tax deductions allowed).

In what instance would I be able to withdraw without paying taxes for deductions?

For example, standard deduction for married couple is $25,100 for 2021 so income up to that amount is tax free

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

Sorry if this isn't the right bowl for this question - I've checked a few.

So here I start with mine: From early last year around the start of the pandemic to today, I have grown my investment (cash + IRAs) from about $1M to about $3.4M today. My Fidelity chart below:

I wonder how many here are doing better, or similar, or worse than this. How's your overall investment doing, and what your chart looks like?

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

I have two mortgages, one at 3% and one at 4.25%. Is there any benefit to paying either of them slightly higher than the minimum payment requirement (ie, maybe like $200/month more)? Additional factors to consider, my HYSA currently yields 3% and I am looking to buy another property in about 2 years and would prefer to not sell the either of the two properties currently on mortgage.

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

This might be the wrong place to ask but is getting a car worth it?

I think it’ll somewhat improve QOL but with parking, insurance, gas and financing costs I’m not sure spending almost 1K/month is a good idea at 22.

The other problem is that used cars are so damn expensive right now so I can’t just buy a used mx5 for 5-10K
