I have had several rounds of interviews for a role at Visa London office. When I reached out to the HR to check on progress/status after what they called the "final round", they said everything is positive and then set up another round with the hiring manager last week. TBH, that round seemed as if they want to make sure I have understood the job well. And there has been radio silence after that. Any idea how to read this? I have another offer and deliberating if i should just accept that.

Found the link, but what categories it excludes is not clear. But does see the Vermont center called out specifically in any exclusion, hence guessing "any" type of application there is subject to this..
I just hope that D PPMDs are more informed and are more empathic about this. Also hope the same for our American friends and community. Wish people are more aware of how screwed up the legal immigration system is here. Lastly, that the administration comes to senses on immigration - both legal and undocumented.

Finally got an email from GGS/attorney saying they are "exploring" options!! Not sure if it's a bad thing that they said they couldn't reapply right off the bat.
AND said that they cannot share reason for denial!! Anyone successful in escalating this and getting a response somehow .....

What’s the latest update OP?
Very slow...never got a formal response from ggs on options but they opened a new case on inszoom, hence seems like they are refilling. It has to be regular processing now that its post sep 11 and I have to file out of Vermont. Finally scheduled to talk to someone on their team tomorrow to confirm that they are refilling only, what are the alternatives in case it gets denied again when my i84s expired, how to better app this time,etc. but seems like they will say apply and wait.
I will have to figure out global deployment, etc. through my network as contingencies.
There is no way to escalate and get ggs to respond quick. I got a copy of the previous app they filed, so might try run a quick review to see what might have been missing or wrong.
Good to know D6!! I can easily join couple of my clients .. was in fact offered a job by a client counterpart (EVP at a Top 5 bank) last week saying I just need to call him anytime I am in the market in the future. But really like Deloitte and consulting in general and am torn between playing it safe by moving to the industry and doing something I am passionate about.
But living life in a limbo might align me toward the former.

Deloitte 6: QQ - were you able to apply for a new h1b with another employer after your current i94 had expired and while you were waiting for your application submitted through Deloitte to process? I might be in that situation after Nov 19, hence checking for options.
I have tried to read online and ask around but some say yes and others no.
It was before expiry. Its because of this reason why my visa was safely approved despite existing extension in RFE. Because after expiry you can lead in to a bridge application scenario and will have to go back for consular processing with high chances of 221g. If I would have listened to Deloitte’s law firm, I would have no job or extension done. It was very well thought decision with external paid consultation from different lawyers. Interestingly many D folks are doing so increasingly because of incompetence of GGLaw.

You are right, every time I broach the topic of options post i84 expiry, ggs never gives a straight answer and say "its dependent on multiple factors". Even when I have given them scenarios to respond to. They also don't answer options in case it gets denied again and one has to leave the country, etc. Dont think being jobless benefits anyone.
Although in my case either option would be a roll of the dice, since we cannot premium process with either. Unless running 2 applications (in case I get someone to hire in light of waiting till march) does not pose any threat to either application...
OP you may be overreacting, getting denied twice is rare and pretty close to impossible unless your job desc was really messed up. Take a deep breath and reapply, all will be well
My H1-B application was denied last year. Apparently there was something like 30% higher rejection rate than the year prior across all applications (not just D). GGS said it was policy to not disclose the reason so I contacted the immigration group (D side) and they followed it up and called me with the reason and my options. My Visa is up next year and so if the administration doesn't change in that time I will have to leave the country. Canada is sounding pretty welcoming with their campaign for those who have had their U.S. visas rejected!!
