I recently started applying to jobs below what I can do to see if I can have better luck. But people are saying I’m overqualified. What’s a good comeback to that? I see the pay and the level and I applied anyway, I just want a job at this point.

Guys, I interviewed at amex gurgaon 10days ago and was told by VP that I will hear from HR very soon. But when I checked on HR yesterday, she said interviews are still in progress and it will take a week more to finalize.
I want to know do they take this long to close a position? This opening was posted on 30th Sep.. It's already been 1.5 months. This is when they said the position was urgent!! 🙄

However, the job offer 1k less than my current company, but I thought this will be boost my growth and experience. Was my choices a smart move? I posted this somewhere else before I remembered that I am in this bowl :) so, I changed jobs 6-7 months ago and I am realizing it is not a good fit. Leadership seem to not want to hear the truth so people tell them what they want to hear and if you don’t middle management gets pissed at you. I am seriously thinking about looking somewhere else. My question is how do you answer the “why are you looking to leave” question without bad mouthing your current company?
