Has anyone been in a situation where you are clearly not good at what you are doing but you don't even know what else are you really good at, nor do you have the motivation to learn something new? How did you go about finding what interests you? And did you manage to actually get out of an underperforming lowly employee role to a star performer? I'm beginning to feel that since I'm terrible at my current job, I'll be terrible always.

Read up on I poster syndrome - we all face it and deal with it. Most of us are too hard on ourselves. NO ONE really knows that they are doing 🙂

I was in the same position a few years ago. I think you need a break. Take some time off and evaluate things. Try to analyze the reason you are underperforming. Is it due to toxic work culture , difficulty of tasks , volume of work or bad teammates ? Write down your thoughts and see if you can change something on your end to make things better. Don’t lose confidence ... maybe your true calling is something else and one bad job doesn’t mean every other job in future will be bad.

I’d like some suggestions for going this route or any other positions that may be a good fit for me based on my resume. Any experienced input would be greatly appreciated!

Quitting before finalizing offers?

I’m at post onsite and negotiation stage at a couple places but it may take another month or 2 due to either hiring freezes or general slow processes.

I want to quit now to go on vacations that I held off during prep. Does it make much difference when I negotiate offers? Like if my upcoming unvested RSU would be (partially) matched, and they find out I quit somehow, is it no longer matched? Other potential snags?

Already burned most of my PTO interviewing.

Hey awesome mamas! What are your plans for when you have to go back to work but your kids are staying home either doing distance-learning or the hybrid model? My three are all in middle school and high school doing the hybrid and are home by themselves Monday -Wednesday. Even though they’re old enough to be home by themselves I still don’t quite trust that they’re on task- especially my 6th grader. Also worried about having to help them with a lot of homework after I get home from work. Ideas?

Ladies in their 30s (or anyone) help me out. When on a great first date with a guy in his late 30s, we totally clicked. When he dropped me off, he asked to come inside and I politely said no, since I don't invite anyone inside after the first time we've met date or not. Everything seemed fine but this morning he texts me "I'm sorry it just seems like we aren't looking for the same things." What did I do wrong here? Should I have let him come inside?

Longevity/ happiness in this profession revolves around luck/ the lord placing you on good clients vs. bad ones.
Client 1 : miserable hours, working until 9pm everyday, a constant shit show. executive suite is rude/ can’t stand us, constant pushback on every hour charged.
Client 2 : We log off at 5pm every, 3pm on Fridays. We bill whatever we want hours wise, no budget issues on the client, they are nice to us and invite us to go to happy hours with them.
