PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Amazing
might be cheaper to just ship it separately to where you're going
That’s what I thought, since they quoted $200 extra for checking it in
I believe weight should be fine given suitcases have over 50lb limits for checked bags but I don't know about dimensions. Maybe call them and see what they say. May be a special case given the fragile status.
The dimensions exceeded their limits and the additional was $200, thanks for the response though
My sister was going to take a 42’’ but due to the box dimensions the airline asked her something around 200. That happened around 2yrs ago in Miami
That’s what they ended up quoting me too, thanks for confirming
Do take insurance on it!
With how they throw around bags do not expect your tv to be functioning once it arrives...
Weight should be fine (50 lbs) but dimensions probably don’t work out (width + height + depth <= 62”). I did 2x 24” monitors (taped the two boxes together) but a 40” TV is probably like 35”x20” for the TV alone (which leaves you with 7” for depth), never mind the box (which probably adds at least 2 inches per dimension, leaving you with 3” of depth to work with)
But why?
