I am prior military and went to law school. I had a family to take care of while I was a student, hence I went as fast as possible to get to a paycheck, graduating in 2 years, and bypassing the standard summer clerkships. How could I get some experience strictly remote? I am w-2 working as an accountant in healthcare, have passed the bar and am working on my CPA license (studying starts at 3 am, then work FT). I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Coming to the realization that consulting is not for me (tech person) feeling angry that salaries at D will never be on pair with FANG and that leadership is not tech focused. For example you could be a soul contributor at fang making 240k and people at Deloitte wait 10+ years to earn that as Senior Managers because they need to climb the corporate ladder. It seems super clear cut to me now, if you want to make money in tech don’t join consulting firms. Am I wrong?

1) Hypothetically if you were looking to sabotage a colleague, can you code an excel document to throw off their numbers or calculations, (if you send them that document and they download it for use)?

MBB data science expert role (i.e., mostly identical progression as generalists but less up or out pressure) or third (?) tier tech companies (DataRobot, C3, etc.)?

Assume starting TC is same at both or 10% more at the tech companies. That's the figure they're roughly giving me during interviews. Also coming from Deloitte.

Anyone know of an alternative to StackOverflow for asking tech questions? The community is super toxic and I'm looking for a place I can casually ask questions that might seem dumb without being hrangued for not providing an essay proof of the research I've already done. Or some sort of buddy system where I can ping a person of relevant experience those questions. It's better to poke someone's brain for a minute than to spin in circles reading docs/dead end articles sometimes.
