I do assessments in two different ways. One is through an online math program called Get More Math. The other is by posting assessments on the Schoology platform. Fortunately I can monitor my students’ online activities through GoGuardian, so both methods work very well.
Thanks for the info. I'm going to check these out.
Hi, we give our online assessments through a LMS called canvas. We set us the test through a program called lockdown browser that prevents students from going to any other progress or application while taking the test. We also use something called class policy that allows us to see what is on each of their computers. We try the best we can but there’s also the cell phones ...
We still have cheating, believe me, we just try to make it more difficult. I also give a test with a large bank of questions where they are randomly assigned a certain number of questions to answer. They also cannot go back to prior questions once they submit an answer.
Assistments is a good program with a function that defeats photomath. For myself, I like to use Desmos activities and program it to self grade once submitted. And to hide test questions once submitted, too.
