Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

I had an offer. MCK would have brought me in as an associate with the MBA's. I was a manager at that point and it was a significant salary hit at this point in my career. So I would have dropped 1-2 levels as the structure is different. Most well managed recruiting process I have experienced but it is time consuming.
Hey op, just curious how you were able to negotiate a Jan start
Saw PwC to McK, partner-partner
Yes. I am starting at an MBB in January. Same level (sorta- I'm starting at entry level when I would have gotten a raise and bonus).
So a1 did you just graduate?
No. I'm about 14 months out of college.
Did you say Big 4 is not Tier 1 ;)
Partners lateraling isn't that rare. I'm sure it's possible after an MBA but don't think it happens very often. Considering I've seen very few people in Big 4 consulting move to MBB pre-MBA, I'm guessing the numbers are even slimmer for advisory
MBB folks, would appreciate your comments on EY1s post. Is the structure so different that you would bring in a B4 manager as an associate and have them start their career over again?
I wouldn't start over - but my offer was to start as equivalent of an MBA associate - then it was explained to me to target 2 years to EM
