Has anyone taken a u turn in your career? How’d it happen? With 6-7 yoe in consulting I’m trying to target 1-2 yoe positions in strategy and still getting ghosted. It’s insane that people are open to a career change if I take 200k loan from a sub par mba but aren’t open to real experience on the job.

If I finish my MBA with extra loan money, should I pay it back to reduce the principal? Or invest it into the market? From my perspective it seems like it makes more sense to invest since the market is likely to generate more than my current loan rate. Although having debt also provokes some anxiety.

For additional info: my loan is a private loan of ~100k at ~5.2%. I have no other debt.

Interviewed with Chicago court 2 weeks ago; they decide mid-August. Interviewed with DC judge last week; hear from him by this Friday. Chicago said if I need an answer before August, they'd try to make a decision about me sooner.
Should I ask Chicago for an answer? Or should I wait until there's an offer from DC judge? Maybe seems better to withdraw before an offer is made rather than ask for time to think about it/turn down DC? What's proper etiquette?

My background isn’t in marketing/branding/PR but I’m being thrown into an engagement for a small organization who has many different sub-brands.
