Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

I have. Work like balance will be absolutely amazing and you can make really good money as a cfo or a controller. The pay can get stagnant if you are manager and below. But can't beat the work life balance . Choose your priorities
I’ve worked at a couple credit unions. I can say I’ve only worked after 5:30 once in 10+ years. It was year end and the new controller wanted the books closed. Upper management is usually out at 5:00.
Each CU varies. Smaller ones you might do a lot of operational work. I’m a controller and do entry level work 90% of the time. I’ve always had a good WLB and my first accounting job I had less than an hour work each day.
